Overview


Our unique retreat is situated just a 30min drive from Gaborone, nestled in a beautiful valley overlooking the historic Kolobeng river and hills. David Livingstone chose this location to build his mission in 1847 with his wife Mary and his children.

The Mission acted as Botswana first surgery, school and church. This location saw Sechele I, Kgosi of the Bakwena Tribe converted to Christianity, and irrigation was used to grow crop on the banks of the perennial Kolobeng River.

Enjoy sundowners on our stunning thatched deck whilst watching the majestic sunsets (this is a must see) Our Eco retreat is powered with our Solar system and water is drawn from the spring fed river, the water is filtered and used thought-out our resort. The Kol0beng river runs throughout the year and gives the area the greenery and fresh air its known for.

Do you have WIFI?

Our retreat offers WiFi through, including our rooms and entertainment area.

Do you serve drinks/ snacks on site?

Breakfast is available, evening meals and snacks and a stocked bar are available by prior request.

How is the road to your venue?

This is a rural retreat and the 500m road to venue can be challenging for smaller cars with low ride height, we can arrange transfers upon request.

Does the place have TVs in the rooms?

Yes, all our room are equiped with samrt TV's.

Are pets allowed?

Well behaved dogs are welcome, there are great walks along the river

How far are you from Gaborone?

We are just 30 mins outside Gaborone, please be aware this journey time will increase at peak times.

Is the swimming pool safe for kids?

We have a shallow pool which is suitable for kids and non swimmers, children should be supervised at all time as there is no barrier around the pool
